I have never regretted my choice of the Brand Management, because it was simply the perfect complement to my vocational training “Management assistant in brand communication”. During the study programme I could collect diverse practical experience and after one of the student tempt activities XING took me over as Junior Digital Communications Manager.
What I particularly appreciate about the Brand Academy is direct intensive exchange with the lecturers and professors, that make you feel challenged and supported at the same time.
The practical orientation and innovative focus of the Brand Academy was a great environment for my professional and personal development. These diverse experiences created sustainably a basis for all further steps: experiences in international organisations, my Master studies at Oxford Brookes University and my current position in Category Management at Mars. But much more relevant for me: the friendships which I could build within these three years!
I am currently Head of Design at the art and design collective Der6teLachs. I also lecture in experimental poster design at the Design Factory. Studying at the Brand Academy allowed me to develop a strong understanding of brands, establish lots of valuable contacts, form friendships and enjoy myself immensely. I really love to think back about my time there.
During my bachelor studies in Brand Management I realised through the international orientation of the Brand Academy that this is something that I really wish to pursue. After my graduation from a Master Degree Programme in the USA, I started working as an Account Manager at Google Europe and support agencies in implementing successful online marketing campaignss of any kind. The knowledge acquired at the Brand Academy about Brand Management as well as the understanding of the relation between clients and agencies is really helpful.

I’m currently working as Junior Online Marketing Manager at Hapag-Lloyd Cruises. That means I’m responsible for guiding a traditional luxury brand into the digital age. I think back fondly to my time at the Brand Academy. The advantages of a small campus and small seminar groups are really paying off now. The practically-aligned and interactive lectures were especially helpful to me in my development.

After learning the ins and outs of brand-driven, strategic communications, I moved to the Silicon Valley and became a digital marketing specialist. After studying Brand Design I was employed as a trainee in the art department at Leagas Delaney Hamburg, where I was able to put into practice and perfect the design and technical skills which I learned at the Brand Academy.
