AS Tallink group is the leading provider of high-quality MiniCruise and passenger transport services in the northern Baltic Sea region as well as the leading provider of ro-ro cargo services on selected routes. The fleet of 16 vessels allows Tallink to offer a wide range of services and frequent departures. Tallink cruise ferries on the Baltic Sea offer state-of-the-art facilities, improved accommodation possibilities, larger onboard shopping areas and high quality onboard services, setting a new benchmark for travel standards on the Baltic Sea.
The company’s vision is to be the market pioneer in Europe by offering excellence in leisure and business travel and sea transportation services. The master’s students of the International Brand Communication programme work together on the development of digital out-of-home campaigns for the German, Austrian and Swiss markets.
This was a very exciting opportunity for the group as they are being given a huge amount of creative freedom. Tallink Silja was looking for three or four, maybe more, innovative ways to capture the attention of young Germans who are potentially interested in the “go north” experience which Tallink Silja MiniCruises offer.
What’s more the billboards are booked and the campaign will go-live in Hamburg in April, 2017 along with social media action!
The students have worked together on their market research and analysis. The creative part is being done in three competing teams. This set-up not only mirrors the competitive agency world but is also supported by a prize from Tallink Silja for the most creative ideas fulfilling their brief.
The teams discuss their opening range of ideas with the marketing arm of Tallink Silja and presented the formal pitch-style capmagnes.
